Roseotoxin B alleviates cholestatic liver fibrosis through inhibiting PDGF-B/PDGFR-β pathway in hepatic stellate cells
Identifying effective anti-fibrotic therapies is a major clinical need that remains unmet. In the present study, roseotoxin B was shown to possess an improving effect on cholestatic liver fibrosis in bile duct-ligated mice, as proved by histochemical and immunohistochemical staining, hepatic biochemical parameters, and TUNEL apoptotic cell detection in tissue sections.

Activation PDGFR-α/AKT Mediated Signaling Pathways in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma by Mesenchymal Stem/Stromal Cells Promotes Anti-apoptosis and Decreased Sensitivity to Cisplatin.
Desmoplasia, a hallmark of a head and neck cancer, has both biologic and physiologic effects on cancer progression and chemotherapeutic response. Mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs), also known as mesenchymal stromal progenitor cells, have been shown to play a role in cancer progression, alter apoptotic responses, and confer resistance to chemotherapy in various carcinomas.

Description: Platelet-derived growth factor subunit B is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PDGFB gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor family. PDGF-B can exist either as a homodimer (PDGF-BB) or as a heterodimer with the platelet-derived growth factor alpha polypeptide (PDGF-AB), where the dimers are connected by disulfide bonds. Growth factor plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell migration, survival and chemotaxis. PDGF-B plays an important role in wound healing. Signaling is modulated by the formation of heterodimers with PDGF-A. |

101-M44 | ReliaTech | 100 µg | EUR 399 |
Description: Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) was discovered as a major mitogenic factor present in serum but absent from plasma. It was found to be secreted from the α-granules of platelets activated during the coagulation of blood to form serum. Subsequent studies have demonstrated that PDGF is not one molecule but three, each a dimeric combination of two distinct but structurally related peptide chains designated A and B. The dimeric isoforms PDGFAA, AB and BB are differentially expressed in various cell types and their effects are mediated through two distinct receptors, termed α and β. Differences exist in isoform binding to each receptor. In general, PDGF isoforms are potent mitogens for connective tissue cells, including dermal fibroblasts, glial cells, arterial smooth muscle cells and some epithelial and endothelial cells. In addition to its activity as a mitogen, PDGF is chemotactic for fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, neutrophils and mononuclear cells. Other reported activities for PDGF include stimulation of granule release by neutrophils and monocytes, facilitation of steroid synthesis by Leydig cells, stimulation of neutrophil phagocytosis, inhibition of natural killer (NK) cell activity, stimulation of collagen synthesis, modulation of thrombospondin expression and secretion, stimulation of collagenase activity and secretion, induction of contraction of rat aorta strips in vitro, and transient induction of T cell IL2 secretion accompanied by a downregulation of IL4 and IFNγ production, temporary effects that may allow clonal expansion of antigen-activated B and T helper lymphocytes prior to differentiation. PDGF also appears to be ubiquitous in neurons throughout the CNS, where it is suggested to play an important role in neuron survival and regeneration, and in mediation of glial cell proliferation and differentiation. |

Anti-Human PDGF-C Antibody |
|||
101-M823 | ReliaTech | 100 µg | EUR 399 |
Description: Mouse platelet-derived growth factor C ( PDGF-C ) is one of the four member of the PDGF family of growth factors which are known mitogens and survival factors for cells of mesenchymal origin. They form four disulfide-linked homodimers ( PDGF-AA, -BB, -CC, and –DD ) and one heterodimer ( PDGF-AB ). PDGF-C has a unique two-domain structure consisting of an N-terminal CUB and a conserved C-terminal growth factor domain that are separated by a hinge region. PDGF-CC only binds to PDGF Rα with high affinity, activates the homodimerization of PDGF Rαβ, and induces the signal pathways, such as profibrotic pathways in hepatic fibrosis. PDGF-CC is involved in a variety of processes including angiogensis, morphogenesis and cardiovascular development, as well as the tumorigenesis. Meanwhile, recent studies have shown that the serine protease tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) used for treatment of acute stroke mediates the activation PDGF-CC, which suggests potential new strategies for cardiovascular and stroke treatment. |

102-P78 | ReliaTech | 100 µg | EUR 245.7 |
Description: PDGFs are disulfide-linked dimers consisting of two 12.0-13.5 kDa polypeptide chains, designated PDGF-A and PDGF-B chains. The three naturally occurring PDGFs; PDGF-AA, PDGF-BB and PDGF-AB, are potent mitogens for a variety of cell types including smooth muscle cells, connective tissue cells, bone and cartilage cells, and some blood cells. The PDGFs are stored in platelet α-granules and are released upon platelet activation. The PDGFs are involved in a number of biological processes, including hyperplasia, chemotaxis, embryonic neuron development, and respiratory tubule epithelial cell development. Two distinct signaling receptors used by PDGFs have been identified and named PDGFR-α and PDGFR-β. PDGFR-α is high-affinity receptor for each of the three PDGF forms. On the other hand, PDGFR-β interacts with only PDGF-BB and PDGF-AB. Recombinant human PDGF-BB is a 24.3 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer of two B chains (218 total amino acids). |

Human PDGF-BB Recombinant Protein |
|||
200-055 | ReliaTech | 5 µg | EUR 52.5 |
Description: PDGFs are disulfide-linked dimers consisting of two 12.0-13.5 kDa polypeptide chains, designated PDGF-A and PDGF-B chains. The three naturally occurring PDGFs; PDGF-AA, PDGF-BB and PDGF-AB, are potent mitogens for a variety of cell types including smooth muscle cells, connective tissue cells, bone and cartilage cells, and some blood cells. The PDGFs are stored in platelet alpha-granules and are released upon platelet activation. The PDGFs are involved in a number of biological processes, including hyperplasia, chemotaxis, embryonic neuron development, and respiratory tubule epithelial cell development. Two distinct signaling receptors used by PDGFs have been identified and named PDGFR-alpha and PDGFR-beta. PDGFR-alpha is high-affinity receptor for each of the three PDGF forms. On the other hand, PDGFR-beta interacts with only PDGF-BB and PDGF-AB. Recombinant human PDGF-BB is a 24.3 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer of two B chains (218 total amino acids). |
